Privacy Policy
Last updated:
This Privacy Statement applies to this website, www.teameventsireland.com, operated by Alternative Experiences Ltd ("we", "us", "our"). It describes how we collect and use personal data in connection with your use of the site and the enquiry form ("Send a brief").
Links to other websites
This website may link to third-party websites for your convenience and information. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those websites, or for the privacy policies and practices of other third parties.
Personal data we collect and process
We collect and process personal data in connection with your use of this website and our relationship with you. The types of personal data you provide may include:
- Your name and contact details (email address and, if you choose to share it, phone number).
- Information about the group event you are enquiring about - group size, rough date, location, vibe and any details you add in the message field of the brief form.
- The IP address from which you access the website (an IP address is the number automatically assigned to your device when you are online).
- Any other information relating to you that you provide to us, or that we generate about you, in connection with your use of the website.
Requirements to provide personal data
You are not under any statutory obligation to provide us with personal data. If you choose to send us a brief through the website, we need your name, email address and a description of your enquiry so that we can respond. If you do not provide this information, we will not be able to come back to you with options.
This website does not process payments or sell tickets. Any booking or payment for an event happens separately, directly with the event provider.
Non-personal information
We collect and analyse certain statistical information about how the website is used through Vercel Web Analytics. This is privacy-friendly analytics: no cookies are set, no cross-site tracking is performed and no individual visitors are identified or fingerprinted. The information retained about each visit includes:
- The previous website from which you accessed our site.
- The type of browser, operating system and screen size used.
- The country (derived from your IP address, which is hashed and discarded - the raw IP is not stored).
- The date and time of your visit and the pages viewed.
We also use Vercel Speed Insights to measure how quickly pages load for real visitors so that we can improve site performance. This data is aggregated and contains no personal identifiers.
Legal basis for processing personal data
The legal bases on which we process your personal data are:
- That the processing is necessary for taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (for example, responding to your enquiry).
- Our legitimate interests in conducting our business in a responsible and commercially prudent manner. We will not process your personal data for these purposes if to do so would constitute an unwarranted interference with your own interests, rights and freedoms.
- That the processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation that applies to us.
- That you have given your consent to the processing.
Who we share your information with
We may disclose your personal data to other organisations in connection with the purposes set out above, including:
- Resend - we use Resend (a transactional email service) to deliver your brief submission to our inbox. Resend processes the message contents and your contact details solely to transmit the email.
- Google Workspace - our email inbox is hosted on Google Workspace, so the contents of your brief are stored there after delivery.
- Vercel - the website is hosted on Vercel. Vercel processes request logs, analytics and performance data on our behalf.
- Event providers - if we recommend a specific provider in response to your brief and you choose to proceed, we may share the relevant details of your enquiry with that provider so they can put together a quote.
- To other public authorities and bodies where required or permitted by law, such as An Garda Síochána or other law enforcement authorities for the purposes of the prevention, investigation or detection of crime.
- To third parties we engage to provide services to us, such as outsourced IT service providers, professional advisers and auditors.
Retention
We will not hold your personal data for longer than is necessary. We retain your personal data for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this Privacy Statement, or to comply with our obligations under applicable law and, if relevant, to deal with any claim or dispute that might arise between you and us.
Brief submissions are retained in our email inbox under our standard business correspondence retention policy. Vercel Web Analytics data is retained by Vercel for up to 24 months.
International transfers
Some of our service providers are based outside the European Economic Area (EEA), including Resend, Google and Vercel in the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to comply with our obligations under applicable law. These include relying on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. If you would like further details of the measures we have taken, please contact us using the details below.

Fonts on this website are loaded from Google Fonts. When your browser requests a font, your IP address is shared with Google solely to deliver that font. Google's processing of that request is governed by Google's own privacy policy.
